Nostalgic PlayStation owners may not have to live in the past, as Sony has not ruled out bringing back classic PlayStation franchises like Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon.
In an interview with The Telegraph, Sony Online Entertainment CEO Andrew House said that he would not rule it out but it “ is dangerous ground. In concept, it is something we’ve been thinking about and discussing, and this is a shift for us. We’ve started to say that maybe there isn’t anything wrong with going back and looking at characters that people still talk about, that were a big part of either their childhood or their youth. I definitely wouldn’t close the door on that.”
My Opinion:
Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
I apologize, but this is something that I would get behind. The big problem is that Sony doesn’t own Crash Bandicoot or Spyro anymore, as they are owned by Activision. Also, take a look at PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. That game was filled with Sony nostalgia, but it wasn’t enough to call it a great success (tear). I can only dream.
