Giants stomp into the PlayStation 4 version of Don’t Starve on July 22 in North America and July 23 in Europe, along with new characters, harsher climate and more.

The upcoming DLC, Reign of Giants, will have two new playable characters, Wigfrid (a valkarie actress who went a little too far for a role) and Webber (a boy living inside a spider) Additionally, spring and summer will include some terrible weather like harsh rain and blistering heat to make starvation even easier. An extra save slot has also been added and… well… giants exist.

Also, some features from the PC version will make it to the PS4 version in a new patch. Some new characters like Snow and Shadow Chester will be available with new dialogue; further, options in world creation like random character selection will be included. The patch will be available when Reign of Giants releases.

My Opinion:

This is a great game, and this expansion will be awesome. More save slots and a guy that lives in a spider? Sign me up. Still on the fence about Don’t Starve? Read my review here!
