Sony announced that the next PlayStation 4 system software update will allow it to play 3D Blu-ray films.  

PS4 System Software Update 1.75 is scheduled to launch next week.  The announcement comes only a few days after Microsoft announced that their August Xbox One update will include the same thing.

Are you excited to finally have 3D Blu-ray support?

My Opinion:

To answer my own question, no.  I am not excited, but only because I don’t care about 3D Blu-rays.  However, I’m sure there are many people that are thrilled!  It doesn’t surprise me that both companies are putting this in an update either; neither company wants to be left behind.
