Assassin’s Creed Unity Gets Delayed

Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed Unity has been delayed by two weeks. Unity is now releasing on November 11th this year with quality assurance being the cited reason.

“This being a fully next-gen game, it requires a lot of work, a lot of production, and a lot of learning,” says Senior Producer Vincent Pontbriand. “It’s always hard to be precise and to quantify exactly how much work is involved. So as we get close to the finish we often realize we’re near the target but we’re not quite there yet.”

Assassin’s Creed Unity was previously slated to release on October 28th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The previous generation’s game, Assassin’s Creed Rogue, is also scheduled to release November 11th.

My Opinion:

I’m a little skeptical about how much polish can really happen in two weeks. I’m more inclined to believe that they favored that release date a little more for whatever reason.
