Silent Hills’ playable teaser, “P.T.,” has been downloaded by PlayStation 4 owners one million times, according to Hideo Kojima at Sony’s pre-TGS press conference.
P.T. was stealthily released at Gamescom two weeks ago during Sony’s press conference. While little was known about the teaser, the game, or what gamers should expect, the viral marketing campaign was a massive success. If one million people have downloaded Silent Hills’ teaser, it means nearly 10% of console owners have travelled that insidious hallway.
As of right now, Silent Hills has no set release date or price point.
I can’t wait. I literally can’t wait. There are some games that I am excited for, but the new iteration of the Silent Hill franchise just seems too perfect. Here’s hoping that they manage to keep the same style and tone of P.T. in the game — while I love my Silent Hill games, nothing has ever been as disturbing as what I came across in the hallway.
