The Endless Possibilities of Stranger Things: The Video Game

For those unaware, Netflix recently dropped a major nostalgia bomb on their streaming service called Stranger Things. Created by the identical Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things is a loving mashup of every 80’s movie you might’ve loved as a kid, from The Goonies and E.T., to Stephen King adaptations like It and Stand By Me. Infusing childhood innocence with supernatural occurrences, this mix makes for an incredibly thrilling 8-part television series — and could also be a pretty kick-ass game. Let me tell you how!

DIGITALLY DOOMED: RESIDENT EVIL 1.5

We all have that one game that we were beyond excited for, only to find out it was canceled. Perhaps it was never even announced, quietly snuffed out to be discovered later. This can happen for many reasons, from the sudden closure of its development studio, to the unexpected decision to go in a different direction. These games were doomed to never see release, but that doesn’t mean the concepts were bad. The video game industry owes a lot to Nintendo. People often point out how the former toy company single-handedly brought this entertainment medium back after the horrific crash, and went on to innovate and reinvigorate in a new generation of their own making — but that was then.
