Persona 5 was announced late 2013 alongside several Persona related spin offs. Before the Pre-TGS conference, there has been very little information regarding Persona 5. All we knew was that it was coming in Japan in 2014 with a North American Winter 2015 release window, and it will be exclusive to PlayStation 3. Now it seems that Persona 5 will likely arrive in 2015 for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Persona 5 will be the first sequeled title since Persona 4 for PlayStation 2 in 2008.
While Persona 5 is a longs way off, there is still Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth for Nintendo 3DS, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax for PlayStation 3, and Persona 4: Dancing All Night for PlayStation Vita.
Persona 5 was the reason why I kept my PlayStation 3, and now that it’s coming to PlayStation 4, I may not want it anymore. I’ll likely keep it since I don’t have a PlayStation 2 to play my Persona games in. If I could get a PlayStation 2, then I wouldn’t need a PlayStation 3.
