Sunday during PAX Prime, Gearbox announced that Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will be receiving a season pass that includes four add-ons which will be comprised of new areas, missions and characters. The pass will cost $30 whereas buying each pack individually would cost $40 total.
While the exact details of what each piece of content will be were not discussed, Gearbox did tease that they were thinking about adding Handsome Jack’s Body Double from Borderlands 2 as a playable character. They also teased that anyone who plays Telltale Games’ upcoming Tales From the Borderlands will unlock content in the Pre-Sequel.
What the season pass includes will remain a mystery for now, but Gearbox should start sharing more details after the release of the Pre-Sequel.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel launches on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on October 14th.
My Opinion:
There are many gamers who hate the idea of a Season Pass, but if I can get the content for less I’ll take it. Borderlands is one of my favorite franchises, so I say bring on as much content as possible. I’ll be there day one.
