PlayStation Devs Get Free Unity Pro

Making a game has just become a bit cheaper for PlayStation devs.

Unity Pro, the popular game engine and development kit, is now available for free for those planning on developing for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

The deal applies for all officially licensed PlayStation developers. While Unity is a development suite for all platforms, it was originally given for free with Wii U development kits.

Many games are Unity-driven, such Stick it to the Man and CounterSpy.

My Opinion:

As a struggling game developer myself, I am familiar with the Unity engine. This will make people like me able to put games on the platform easier. I look forward to seeing what games will come to these consoles because of this.
