Steam to receive Final Fantasy XIII

Rumors of a Steam release of the Final Fantast XIII trilogy were confirmed by Square Enix after their portal website was seen sporting the Steam label.  The first of the three games, Final Fantasy XIII, will be available to download on Steam on October 9th.

The price of Final Fantasy XIII will be $16 in the United States.  Pre-ordering through Steam will also give you a 10% discount, which drops the price down to $14.40.  It is unknown at this time if the second and third release of the trilogy will be the same price.

If you are into collecting Steam cards, then you will also like hearing that Final Fantasy XIII will have its own set of collectible cards for your inventory.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will both be available on Steam by Spring of 2015.

My Opinion:

I am pleased to see Square Enix spreading the joy of Final Fantasy onto new consoles every year.  Here’s hoping to some of those Final Fantasy PlayStation 1 HD remakes.
