PvP and More Coming To Freedom Wars

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan recently announced the second major update for Freedom Wars, which will bring new additional features to the game.

The two main features being added in the version 1.20 update are the inclusions of a PvP mode and a new mode called ‘Ideology Fights’.

Online PvP will be able to support up to 8 players.  With the addition of their everyone’s accessory partners, the total number of characters per match rises to 16.

In the Ideology Fights, an ‘ideology opposition structure’ will be presented, the meaning of which currently remains unclear.  More details regarding this mode will be released soon, with the update scheduled to be going live in October.

Freedom Wars is scheduled for a North American release on October 28th, 2014 for PlayStation Vita.

My Opinion:
Freedom Wars is one of the most highly anticipated Vita games of 2014. So far, the game looks great and I hope this update is already in the game once it’s released in the west. While I have always seen Freedom Wars as a co-operative type of game, it is exciting to be given the option to challenge other players.
