Quan Chi Enters the Ring

Today the world received wonderful news from the folks at NetherRealms studios that the demon sorcerer Quan Chi is making a return come Mortal Kombat X!

Quan Chi is one of the most deceitful, villainous and greedy characters in the Mortal Kombat franchise. I’m sure every gamer is happy to see him coming back, especially with his three play types: Warlock which features portal manipulation to add attacks, Summoner that sees Quan Chi summoning a bat out of Hell to help him, and lastly Sorcerer that allows him to summon buffing and debuffing fields to help him or hurt his opponents. Check him and his vicious tactics out below!

As if his updated moveset isn’t great, the mention that Quan Chi will be integral to Mortal Kombat X’s story is a sure sign that there will be some back room dealings, betrayal, and plot twists.

The roster of Mortal Kombat X is ever so slowly being leaked and so far it’s only been getting better. Pick up Mortal Kombat X when it drops on April 14th, 2015 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.

My Opinion:

I was honestly hoping to see Quan Chi come back. I’m a big fan of NetherRealms injecting some new blood into the series with fresh faces, but I would miss Quan Chi. I am horrible with him (my main is… anyone who can teleport repeatedly), but Quan Chi’s crowning feature, what makes me love him, is that he has the best fatality I’ve ever seen in Mortal Kombat. What is that fatality you ask? Well, it’s the one where he rips off his opponent’s leg and beats them with it until you quit out of the match. If left going he won’t stop… and I find that absolutely hilarious.

Myles K Farrington is one of the MONG Senior Editors and has recently been losing a lot of sleep due to Destiny. There looks to be no end to the fatigue in sight and he’s not too broken up about it. Keep up with him over on IGN, Twitch, and Twitter as well!
