As of Friday, October 24th, tickets are on sale for the first PlayStation Experience community event sponsored by Sony, showcasing 400,000 square feet of PlayStation games, panels, signings and contests.
Las Vegas hosts the event, held December 6th and 7th, that will bring developers and gamers together both to play and discuss unreleased games, and revel in what it means to be a part of the PlayStation Nation. Specifics on panel hosts, keynote speakers and other tidbits are still unclear, but Sony assures that all will be posted on the official PlayStation Blog in the coming weeks.
If you want to snag access to the affair, you can buy tickets at the Venetian Hotel and Casino website. A one-day pass goes for $50, and $90 will get you inside for both days.
Earlier this month, Sony announced the unprecedented event. More details are sure to follow as December approaches.
My Opinion:
Regardless of the attendance, Sony’s timing is key to how this event’s success will be measured. It puts a spotlight on PlayStation and its holiday releases. The PlayStation Experience may only last for two days, but gamers will have plenty to talk about leading up to it and for the holiday season to follow.
