Bloodborne, the PlayStation 4 exclusive being developed by FromSoftware, has been delayed. The game will now release on March 24, 2015 in North America and PAL regions, except for the UK and Ireland which will be March 27.
This information was revealed in an article on the PlayStation Blog. Producer Masaaki Yamagiwa offered an explanation for the delay:
“While development continues unabated, we would like our team to deliver the best possible final experience. We were gratified by the feedback and data we received from those who participated in our limited Alpha test. The extra production time will also allow us to better integrate these learnings.”
It was noted that fans should look forward to some exciting Bloodborne news coming in early December.
My Opinion:
This is good news for numerous reasons; it spreads out the PlayStation 4’s exclusive lineup, and it gives the devs more time to deliver a polished experience. There have been many issues this console generation with games being released in a semi-broken state so it’s nice to see a game be held back so that the devs have time to meet consumer expectations.
Ryan Amirault is an Associate Writer for MONG and hasn’t played either Dark Souls or Demon Souls. Bloodborne looks really good though so it just may compel him to jump on board. Follow him on Twitter.
Anyone else who hasn’t played Dark or Demon Souls that may be looking to get this game? It looks pretty badass!
