Xbox One Software Update Now in Beta

A patch is currently in development to correct a few issues created by the recent November update for the Xbox One from Microsoft.

This patch is currently available for preview members to test out, and it will likely become available for the general public soon.

THE DETAILS

OS version released: xb_rel_1411.141111-2206

FIXES

USB HD Video Streaming: A fix for an issue some users have reported where streaming HD videos from USB would cause the video to stop playback.

Store and Snap: Many users noticed that the when browsing the new Store experience with an app in Snap, the screen wouldn’t properly resize. This update includes a fix for this.

My Opinion:

While I am glad that Microsoft is being quick in responding to these minor issues, I am still a bit on edge from Sony’s recent software mistakes. Hopefully both Microsoft and Sony will be a bit more cautious in the future before releasing major updates.
