Moon Studios’ upcoming Xbox One and PC exclusive Ori and the Blind Forest has been delayed until ‘early’ 2015.
According to the game’s official website, the studio “need(s) just a little more time in order to add a final layer of polish to – what (they) hope – will be an unforgettable gaming experience.”
Officially announced at E3 2014, Ori and the Blind Forest is a metroidvania that focuses on platforming and lesser RPG components said to take influence from classic titles like Super Metroid and The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past.
My Opinion:
It’s safe to assume that Moon Studios has taken notice of recent releases and does not want to make the same mistake of releasing a title before it is ready. It’s encouraging to see that the studio is putting the quality of their product ahead of hitting their initial launch window. I would much rather have a polished game that runs as intended at a later date than a game that runs poorly but hits its launch window.

It’s funny cause about a week ago I contacted them on a release date and they just replied by liking the comment. I don’t like this answer 😦
