New Weapons Added to Sunset Overdrive

New ways to cause mayhem arrived yesterday for Sunset Overdrive.  The DLC is called the Weapons Pack, it is paid content, and comes with weapons called the Plague Bomb, Rager, Shield Buddy, and Multi-Lock Rocket Launcher.

While weapons are always a welcome addition to ones arsenal, Sunset Overdrive truly takes gunplay to a new level. You can behold all of the extreme havoc wreaking that can be had with the new toys, in the trailer below.

What’s more, Insomniac is offering players the chance to vote on cosmetic changes and potential game balancing.  It is the last week to purchase the Day One Edition content for the game, which Microsoft has claimed will not be available anywhere else, and possibly at any other time.

Lastly, there is still an event within the world of Sunset and online Chaos Mode, that will allow players to have greater odds of obtaining the ProPain Launcher, and they will also earn 27.9 times more Overcharge while playing with friends.  The opportunity to earn the weapon, and have in game buffs ends at the end of the day on December 1st.

The DLC costs $4.99, and if you have the season pass you’re already welcome to the new goodies.  We at Middle Of Nowhere Gaming thought the game was simply amazing with a 9.6 out of 10.  For more on its DLC and news, keep it locked here.

My Opinion:

For someone who doesn’t have an Xbox One, I love Sunset Overdrive and have watched entire game playthroughs of the title.  The game is loaded with weapons already, but five dollars for four more ways to play sound like an awesome deal.  I wish more games could offer actual, different guns for their games as DLC content, but perhaps I am at the lower end of popularity with such a sentiment.  Either way, happy to see how they’re supporting the game, and looking to the community to help improve one of the XOne’s best titles.  Can’t wait to pick up this game the day I get an Xbox.
