With Planetside 2 coming soon to PlayStation 4, Sony Online Entertainment has revealed that a beta for Planetside 2 will arrive later this month.

According to the president of Sony Online Entertainment, John Smedley, the beta for the free-to-play shooter has been approved and is expected to arrive in the week of the 13th or the 20th. SOE will release new information as it gets closer to the beta.

Planetside 2 is the fifth game to be free to play on the PlayStation 4 system. The game doesn’t have a solid release date yet, but if they are doing a beta now, it’s safe to assume that it will likely be released sometime this Summer. You can sign up for the Closed Beta here.

My Opinion:

I’ve been hearing about Planetside 2 for years, and now that I can play it, with or without PlayStation Plus. I doubt I’ll try to get into the beta, but I’ll download it when it’s ready.
