A new Saudi Arabian character has been revealed for Tekken 7.

Katsuhiro Harada, the director of the Tekken series, has revealed on Twitter that the new character will be named Shaheen.

Shaheen’s reveal was teased back in August when Harada asked for feedback on a Middle Eastern character on the Tekken Facebook page. Shaheen is the result of the inquiry.

The other new characters announced for Tekken 7 are Claudio, Katarina and the controversial character, Lucky Chloe.

My Opinion:

I do not play many fighting games, but one of the hot topics in gaming is more diversity. Tekken is not the series I expected it to be in but it is welcome.
