Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Story Revealed

In the February issue of Game Informer, Naughty Dog has revealed information about the story for the newest game of their flagship franchise, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

Set three years after the events of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, Nathan and Elena Drake have settled down and are enjoying the married life. Then Sam, Nathan’s older brother who’s believed to be dead, comes back into Nathan’s life with promises of a pirate treasure and adventure.

Sam says that he must find a lost treasure in the depths of Madagascar. This leads them into looking for the mythical pirate colony; Libertaria. Naughty Dog has promised that Madagascar isn’t the only location in Uncharted 4. Along with Nathan and Sam looking for the lost colony, there are two other treasure hunters looking for it also: Rafe and Nadine.

Nathan Drake will have more tools to use while exploring the environments. There will be hidden paths that lead to caves, hidden treasures that lead to more treasures, it will be possible to avoid combat altogether, and environments will be much larger than in previous games.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will release exclusively on PlayStation 4 sometime in 2015.

My Opinion:

It’s Uncharted, so of course I’m excited. Everything about this game sounds awesome and because it’s from the writers of The Last of Us and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, there is a danger of over hyping myself. Still, even the weakest in the series, Uncharted 3, was a great game. Along with Elena and Sully coming back, I hope Cutter from Uncharted 3 returns.
