Zombie Studios, the developer of the Spec Ops and Blacklight series, has closed after 20 years.

The latest games Zombie made were Daylight and Blacklight: Retribution. As for the ongoing development of Blacklight: Retribution, many of those from Zombie Studios formed their own studio called Builder Box and now own the game, continuing development.

Zombie Studios not only created several games in the Spec Ops series and Blacklight series, but have also made Super Bubble Pop, the Saw games and several training programs for the military.

My Opinion:

It is always sad to hear about a studio closing. I hope that Builder Box can live up to Zombie Studios’s legacy and will make many more games. I hope everyone from Zombie finds employment somewhere.
