Fans of Blizzard Entertainment are used to collecting all shades of rare items, but for one publisher, the loot is in the lore.
According to Dark Horse, the first hardcover book, World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume 1, will focus on the world of Azeroth prior to the Alliance-Horde conflict portrayed in games.
COO of Blizzard Entertainment, Paul Sams says there has always been an interest in this part of the franchise’s past.
“We often get questions from players who want to know more about the origins of the Warcraft universe, and the rise and fall of their favorite characters. This new series digs deeply into all of that—we can’t wait for players to read it.”
World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume One arrives at comic shops on November 7th and bookstores on November 17th. It will feature 20 pages of illustrations by World of Warcraft artist, Peter Lee.
This seems like a very logical marriage. With Dark Horse’s experience handling established franchises, this project is in very good hands.
