In a statement from Telltale’s new CEO, Kevin Bruner, it was revealed that Telltale is working on a new IP.
Bruner said,
“We’re already working on some of the biggest franchises in entertainment, and when you add our unannounced partnerships and upcoming original IP, it’s clear the most exciting time to be at Telltale is now, and there will continue to be more and more opportunity to innovate ahead of us.”
Bruner was previously one of the company’s co-founders and president before taking over the CEO role from Dan Connors, who stepped down.
My Opinion:
Telltale is in charge of some of pop culture’s biggest properties. From Game of Thrones to The Walking Dead and more recently, their collaboration with Mojang to create Minecraft: Story Mode.
It’s good to know that they’re using part of their growing team to create something original. Whether or not that’s something gamers are interested in, from this particular studio, remains to be seen.
Jason Patrick is an Associate Writer at MONG. His PlayStation 3 recently met the Yellow Light of Death, so please have him in your thoughts. If you’d like, follow him on Twitter.
They’re really getting productive this year. I hope they don’t spread themselves too thin.
