If you visit the PlayStation Store, you’ll notice there are a plethora of new themes to personalize your PlayStation 4.
Similar to the themes that were sold for the PlayStation 3, these themes were not created by Sony, but by independent developers (Disruptive Media Publishers, Smobile, Virtual Burger).
There are 31 new themes in all. The full list of PS4 themes, including one made by Sony, can be found here.
My Opinion:
One glance at the selection of current PS4 themes, and it’s easy to see that a lot of effort is going into allowing gamers to make their consoles unique. Paying for a theme isn’t one of my priorities, but there’s an audience out there, and these developers are pursuing that niche. Now that the floodgates are open, we can probably expect many more third-party developers to create themes for the PS4.
