Upgraded State of Decay Lurches onto Xbox One, PC April 28th

State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition, the updated version of the Xbox Live Arcade zombie survival hit State of Decay, is coming to Xbox One and PC on April 28th, Undead Labs has announced.

This re-release will come packed with all the patches and updates the original game received, as well as the Lifeline and Breakdown DLC packs. But Undead Labs isn’t stopping there; the studio is adding new animations, mission types, weapons, and vehicles, and they’re also upgrading the visuals to run at full 1080p resolution.

If you’re looking to buy it upon release, State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition will run you $29.99 and will be released both digitally and at retail. To further sweeten the pot, if you already own the original State of Decay on Xbox 360, you’ll get an exclusive playable character and be able to purchase the upgraded Xbox One version for just $19.99. You’d better be quick, though, as the offer will expire on June 30th, 2015.

Keep an eye out for our review of this upcoming release!

My Opinion:

I cannot wait for this game! I’ve been waiting for a while (I own it on Steam, but my PC can’t run it), and I’m surprised it’s not coming out until April. I’m not complaining, though! I’m super excited to play State of Decay for the first time. Soon, my Xbox One will get the attention it deserves.
