Publisher Ubisoft has released the launch trailer for Grow Home, now available on PC. Grow Home follows the exploits of BUD (Botanical Utility Droid) on Star Planet, as he searches for flora to help oxygenate his home world. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Wall-E and Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Grow Home was developed by Reflections, a small eight person team within Ubisoft. The origins of the game sprouted from a tool used in exploring procedural animation before fittingly growing into something more.

I have to say I was not really familiar with Grow Home, but the launch trailer has piqued my interest. I’m not much of a PC gamer, so I’m hopeful the title will come to consoles at a later date. It seems like something that would be right at home on the Wii U.
