Supermassive Brings The Love With New Until Dawn trailer

The folks over at Supermassive Games are in the mood for love.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, they released a new trailer for their horror/slasher game, Until Dawn.

Until Dawn is a PlayStation 4 exclusive that basks in the horror cliche of the cheesy slasher flicks from the 80’s (i.e Friday the 13th/Sleepaway Camp). You play as eight teenagers spending the night in a secluded cabin, as a crazed killer is trying to pick each of you off. Throughout Until Dawn various characters can be killed off based on the decisions you make as you try to flee/combat the person trying to kill you. Similar to Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, there is no game over. The story progresses even if a character is offed. The game stars, Hayden Panettiere of Nashville/Remember The Titans fame.

Until Dawn does not have an official release date but it is set to come out sometime in 2015.

My Opinion:

Until Dawn looks like a game that is so bad it’s good. It’s commonplace for horror films to delve into the cliches of horror, but this is something rarely seen in gaming and the horror fan in me can’t wait to see what they have in store for us.
