The news came via their YouTube Channel, where they released a teaser. The DLC is titled “The Assignment” and is told from the perspective of Juli Kidman, a partner of Sebastian Castellanos, the main character from The Evil Within. The DLC will be released on all platforms, which includes PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
This is the first of three pieces of DLC content that may be purchased via The Evil Within Season Pass, which goes for $19.99. The first two pieces will revolve around the aforementioned Juli Kidman character, while the third and final DLC will revolve around “The Keeper.”
I have a love/hate relationship with The Evil Within. It’s a game I purchased at launch. I had to force myself to finish. I bought it digitally, so it would have been a waste of money not to.
It’s a competent game as far as gameplay is concerned, but it can be downright frustrating at times. Lots of sudden death where you feel cheated, followed by aggravating loading screens. But the gameplay made it a worthwhile experience and I’m intrigued by the DLC.
