Project CARS Release Pushed to April

Project CARS, the upcoming simulation racer from Slightly Mad Studios, has abandoned its March release date in favor of an April launch.

According to Ian Bell, the head of Slightly Mad Studios, the delay is for minor adjustments to create the “best game experience.” Project CARS will release for PC via Steam on April 2nd before reaching PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on April 7th.

Bell’s full comments are below:

“Moving the release date was not an easy decision to make, as we know our fans are eager to get their hands-on on Project CARS. But we know that these extra days will allow us to provide the best game experience that our fans deserve. We assure you the wait will be worth it when the game does arrive early April.”

The game continues to be slated for an ambiguous 2015 release on Wii U.

My Opinion:

I’m disappointed that this game isn’t here yet. It’s been delayed previously and it looks like such a solid racing game. Since Gran Turismo appears to be off in the horizon still and Driveclub wasn’t quite the experience we expected, Project CARS is the most hopeful sim racer for PS4 owners.
