Charles Dance Travels From Westeros To The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

When Charles Dance speaks, people listen.  The acclaimed British actor possesses a commanding and authoritative voice which he has put to great use in his career.  Most recently famous for his role as Tywin Lannister on Game of Thrones, Dance is trading one fantasy setting in for another.  In his first video game role, Charles Dance voices the role of Emhyr var Emreis (Emperor of Nilfgaard) in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

In the behind-the-scenes video from developer CD Projekt RED, Dance talks about the character he portrays, the evolution of fantasy, and how far video games have come.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt releases on May 19th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

My Opinion:

Game of Thrones is one of my favorite shows on TV.  His character Tywin Lannister delivered some of the most potent ether I have seen from a television character.  His dressing down of other characters was a joy to watch, as they would leave the conversation with their tail between their legs and part of their soul missing.  I think he is a great choice to be a part of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and I can’t imagine he won’t be anything but an asset to the title.
