The next installment in the absolutely fantastic Tales series may be coming to the PlayStation 4 as well as the PlayStation 3, if a Dutch retailer and Best Buy are to be believed.

Tales Of Zestiria is an upcoming Japanese action RPG coming from Bandai Namco. It’s slated to hit North America on PS3 in Fall of this year. Nedgame has the PS4 version of the game to hit on September 30th, which is Wednesday, and games in Europe are released on Friday.

September 30th is also the end of the fiscal quarter, so this could be a placeholder date. Best Buy originally had the date listed as October 27th, but since news broke, the release date has disappeared off the page’s listing

It’s very possible we will get an announcement for a current generation port at E3. The Japanese publisher found great success porting Dark Souls 2:Scholar of the First Sin, so it would seem like a viable option for the company and everyone who has traded in their PS3s to get a PlayStation 4, especially with Sony’s new console just hitting 22.3 million units sold.

My Opinion:

This would be a wonderful announcement. My PlayStation 3 is rarely used, and this would be the final nail in one of my favorite coffins. E3 is going to be very interesting this year, and this is easily the one announcement I want.
