NetherRealm Studios has released a video hyping today’s release of Jason Voorhees as a playable character in Mortal Kombat X.

Jason Voorhees is the first playable character DLC released for MKX and is available today exclusively for people who have purchased the Kombat Pack season-pass. Jason will become available for individual purchase May 12th. Check out Jason in all of his machete swinging glory in the video below:

Mortal Kombat X is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, iOS, and Android. MKX will release for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this year.

My Opinion:

Jason looks really cool in the trailer. I love the look of his move set from the trademark machete, to the ability to shrug off projectile attacks. The only thing missing is Jason’s trademark noise which I hope to see included with the character. I’ve yet to pick up Mortal Kombat X, but DLC like this is giving me more and more reasons to buy in.
