Splatoon, the upcoming new IP from Nintendo, has several great new screenshots that shine another light into the series.

The screenshots below showcase some fun mini-games inspired by some classic concepts, including Brick Breaker, volleyball, and racing game. Though the entire premise of these haven’t been explored, it seems that you control the squid within these activities to achieve a high score.

A similar mini-game was seen during the Splatoon demo this weekend.

Splatoon is set to be released on May 29th.

My Opinion:
Though this isn’t the flashiest of releases, it’s nice to have a finer detail explored. This was especially awesome when I was waiting for online matches to be set up during the live demo last weekend. This game quickly won me over and I’m more than excited for the midnight release!
