Just days before E3, Insomniac Games and Sony revealed that Ratchet & Clank is coming to PlayStation 4 early next year. This new announcement also came with a gameplay trailer as well as an eight-minute long look at the game.
Ratchet & Clank will be a re-imagined version of the original 2002 PlayStation 2 game of the same name. It will cover the upcoming film as well. The game will be familiar with fans of the original game while having elements that were in the more recent titles.
Ratchet & Clank for PlayStation 4 will be out on June 30th, 2016. Ratchet & Clank: The Movie will arrive in theaters on April 29th, 2016.
I love the Ratchet & Clank series. The first game I played was Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando and when I got the chance to play the first game I took it. To say it was rough was an understatement. You couldn’t strafe in the first game, so it made the game feel dated. Thankfully, this new game takes all that was learned from the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 games and creates something that looks to be the best looking Ratchet & Clank game yet. I absolutely cannot wait to play the game and see the movie.
