Media Molecule is bringing its standout PlayStation Vita game Tearaway over to the PlayStation 4 in the form of Tearaway Unfolded.  Now courtesy of the PlayStation Blog, a release date has been announced for the title.  Tearaway Unfolded will launch September 8th in North America for $39.99.  Anyone who pre-orders the game will receive a limited “Crafted Edition” of Tearaway Unfolded packed with bonus content.

What kind of content you ask?  The Crafted Edition comes with exclusive costumes and decorations from PlayStation titles such as God of War , Infamous and Killzone.  In addition, pre-ordering nets gamers the official Tearaway Unfolded soundtrack featuring all the original tunes from the game.

My Opinion:

I own Tearaway on my PlayStation Vita and I am glad that more people will have an opportunity to play a terrific game.  It was critically acclaimed, but unfortunately did not sell very well.  It will be interesting to see how well it transitions to the PS4 as Tearaway really made great use of the Vita’s capabilities. The reduced price and pre-order bonuses are a nice touch as well.
