Odin Sphere Getting a HD Remake

Vanillaware’s Odin Sphere is joining the mounting pile of games getting a HD remaster.

Titled Odin Sphere: Leifdrasir in Japan and Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir in America, publisher Atlus will release the action side-scrolling RPG for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita on January 14, 2016 in Japan and sometime in 2016 in North America. The re-release will run at a higher resolution and will feature some gameplay changes, including new enemies, new maps, and tweaks to the alchemy and fighting systems.

The original game was released on the PlayStation 2 in 2007 and was re-released as a PS2 classic on the PS3 in 2011. A reveal trailer can be seen below.

My Opinion:

I’ve heard a lot about Odin Sphere but never had a chance to play it. We are getting more remasters than we probably should nowadays but this does mean we can play great games like Odin Sphere that we may have missed in the past.
