Scott Cawthon has (predictably) done it again. The anticipated Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 has been released TODAY!
Yes, you read that right. The highly anticipated Five Nights at Freddy’s 4, which was originally set to launch Halloween this year and later changed to August 8th, was released on Steam with this message from the game’s creator Scott, a.k.a “Scoot,” Cawthon:
Ok, so as many of you already know, I’m bad with release dates. The game is finished. 🙂
Two days ago, Cawthon announced that he had released the demo version of the game to prominent FNaF and gaming Youtubers, such as Dawko and Razzbowski, for gameplay reaction videos. You can view their videos on the Steam Community post for Five Nights at Freddy’s 4.
Fans were treated to a Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 trailer not too long ago that surprised many due to the very different gameplay mechanics. Players play as an unknown child who must survive the night in their house by warding off different creatures that come their way. Unlike the previous three games, this one allows players to travel different rooms as well as not playing a security guard for an animatronic-filled pizzeria.
Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 is available for purchase for $7.99 on Steam for the PC.
Holy crap. I have been following /r/FiveNightsatFreddys for months in anticipation for this game at it’s released TODAY with LITTLE ANNOUNCEMENT?! Exciting! For those who are familiar with the FNaF fandom, this may not come as a surprise since Cawthon has routinely released games without announcements. But, it’s still thrilling nonetheless. Personally, I’m too much of a scaredy cat to actually play the game, I’m just so enraptured with the lore behind the game (which is mostly theories and speculations). Therefore, I can’t wait to watch some fun YouTube Let’s Plays!
