Geekend Update 10/02/15

Weekends are meant strictly for gaming and all things fun; at least that’s what we think. Here is where you can find out all of our crazy plans for the upcoming weekend!

Jordan Loeffler, Editor in Chief: If you haven’t already guessed it, I will be playing Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain this weekend. Maybe Snake won’t fall to his death or meet another of a series of untimely ends at Mother Base this weekend, but I doubt it…

Adam Leonard, Associate Editor: I have finally escaped the steely grasp of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain! Right now I’m playing Persona 4: Dancing All Night, and is killing time until Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, and then ultimately Fallout 4 which is creeping up really quickly.

Esteban Cuevas, Associate Editor: I beat Batman: Arkham Asylum again this past week, this time on PS3 and did all the challenges, earning a 100% file. I noticed that I’m one trophy away from platinuming the game so I guess I’ll be playing through the game on hard difficulty this weekend.

Jesse Webster, Senior Writer: I’m not really playing anything right now. I’m just waiting for Super Meat Boy and then Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.

Darius Purse, Senior Writer: After taking a break from gaming last weekend, I plan to finally finish Trine 2 this weekend.

Aaron Dobbe, Associate Writer: I’m currently playing through Persona 4 Dancing All Night for review, so I’ll be spending most of the weekend doing that. I’ll probably take breaks every now and then to attempt a 100 Mario Challenge in Super Mario Maker, because that is the most addicting game mode I’ve played in a long time.

Landon Luthi, Associate Writer: I will continue to feed my addiction of Super Mario Maker throughout the weekend, and likely dozens more to follow. I am still considering taking another shot at Mega Man 3, but will likely spend another night crying under a cold shower if I do.

Charlie Savidge, Associate Writer: I’m playing the Need For Speed closed beta this weekend. Along with that I’ll be watching The Big House 5, which is the second largest Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament ever, and is located in Michigan.

What games are ya’ll playing this weekend!? Let us know in the comments!
