Ubisoft has revealed the new game in the Far Cry series, Far Cry: Primal. A Reveal trailer shows off a brand new setting as well as new features for the series.

Set around 10,000 BC, you play as Takkar who has lost everything and you must build yourself back up again. Because it is set in The Stone Age, you can’t buy your weapons and you must build them from the ground up using bone, thread and rock. Not much variety is shown, but it is clear that you’ll be with a hunting party and it seems that hunting will play a large part of the game.

Far Cry: Primal will release on February 23, 2016 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PC version will release sometime in March of 2016.

My Opinion:

Far Cry is one of my favorite franchises and I can’t wait for this one. I love that this is completely different from Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 4, which felt like the same game. While it will have those Far Cry traits, this is unlike anything I’ve seen and that, to me, is very exciting.
