Sonic Lost World, originally released on the Wii U nearly two years ago, will be receiving a PC port via Steam.
The game will come with the usual bells and whistles of cloud saves, steam achievements, leaderboards, controller and keyboard/mouse support, and numerous graphical options. In addition, the Nightmare DLC that came included with the Deadly Six limited edition will be included as well.
The game will be released on November 2nd, 2015, or a bit less than one month from now. The game will be priced at $24.99, and pre-ordering the game will give you a free copy of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.
My Opinion:
This actually shocked me when it was announced. Sonic Lost World was the first game in a three Sonic title exclusivity deal Sega had made with Nintendo. Apparently, it was only a timed exclusivity deal. With this announcement, I’m hoping for an excellent PC port of the game. Even though the Wii U ran the game at 60fps, it was at 720p upscaled to 1080p. I’m sure the true 1080p output will look better as will the mods that will inevitably come to the game.
