Homefront: The Revolution Explores Occupied Philadelphia in New Trailer

Philadelphia: home of brotherly love, the Liberty Bell, and Rocky Balboa.  One of the most historic cities in America becomes home for revolution in the futuristic setting imagined by Deep Silver in Homefront: The Revolution

In the latest video titled “This is Philadelphia” the year is 2029 and Philly is among the cities occupied by a foreign government across the U.S.  Residents live under a brutal police state, but not everybody is compliant and a rebellion is forming by resistance fighters.

The open world first person shooter launches May 17th in North America and May 20th internationally for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.  A closed beta for Homefront: The Revolution will be exclusive to Xbox One owners.  For a chance to gain access to the beta, register at the official website and watch the seeds of rebellion sprout in the gameplay trailer below.

My Opinion:

I did not play the first game in the series, but I found the concept and setting interesting.  You might be able to take their cheese steaks away, but you can’t take their freedom.
