PlayStation 4 has become the premiere place for fighting games in the console space. The resurrection of The Last Blade 2 is further evidence of that.
The classic Neo Geo title is being ported to both the PS4 and PS Vita and will release on May 24th. Set during the end of the Edo period in medieval Japan, The Last Blade 2 offers 18 different characters to choose from and different sword types for play style. The game will be cross buy for the PS4 and Vita. It will also feature cross play and cross save functionality between the two systems. Even though the game was originally released in the 90s, the sprite artwork still looks really good. Despite being a SNK fan during the era, I wasn’t familiar with The Last Blade 2. The fact it is cross buy makes it a tempting pick up for me in May.
