Tomb Raider Movie Finds Its Lara Croft

As Tomb Raider prepares to bring its rebooted franchise to the big screen, Lara Croft will once again be played by an Oscar winner.

Alicia Vikander is set to star as the iconic video game archeologist according to Deadline.  Much like the 2013 Tomb Raider game, the movie will follow a young and inexperienced Lara Croft as she embarks on her first adventure.  Alicia Vikander gained notoriety for her starring role in Ex Machina and recently won a best supporting actress Academy Award for her performance in The Danish Girl.

My Opinion:

I think she is a talented actress and will do a good job in the role.  I’ve only seen her in Ex Machina in which she really impressed me.  She will definitely need to brush up on her bow and arrow skills now.
