Brace yourself chums, another Resident Evil re-release is upon us — this time its for the 5th entry in the series.
Announced earlier this year, this version will run at 1080p and play at a higher frame-rate than the original PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version, though Capcom hasn’t divulged what exactly this frame-rate will be. As standard with these type of re-releases, all previously released add-ons, including the PC exclusive No Mercy mode, will be included with the game.
Further, The Mercenaries United mode will also be added, which will challenge players to simply kill enemies and complete objectives. The game will also get the difficult No Mercy mode of Mercenaries that was previously only available on the PC version.
Resident Evil 5 originally released September 18, 2009. Once released, it garnered a cumulative score of a 85 on Metacritic throughout the platforms. It will be available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on June 28th priced at $19.99/£15.99.
Capcom quit playing around with all these Resident Evil re-releases — do the world some good, and give us that Dino Crisis remaster already.
