Good news for any gamer wanting to give EA Access a go. A free trial period is coming for Xbox Live Gold Members next week. Running from June 12th-22st, the Electronic Arts subscription service will be available for free to any Xbox One owner with a Gold membership. During the time period, gamers will have access to any of the 20+ games inside The Vault. The bulk of the titles inside The Vault are older sports games, but other titles like Titanfall, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and Battlefield Hardline are also available to play.
The trial period is activated by downloading the EA Access Hub app featured on the Gold member area on the home dashboard. Once the period is over, subscription of the service can continue for $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year.
My Opinion:
While I don’t think there is enough content to subscribe to EA Access on a continual basis, I could see someone checking it out for a month to sample the roster of games it has to offer. I don’t have an Xbox One, but if I did I would definitely take advantage of the promotion.
