The ocean is a vast place filled with creatures both familiar and mysterious. Exploration of the many wonders which can be found underwater is at the heart of Abzu.

Releasing August 2nd on the PlayStation 4 and PC, Abzu is all about exploring ocean environments as a diver learning to cope with loss. Not only is the game from developer Giant Squid filled with a variety of colorful ocean life (both in animals and vegetation), but also in ancient artifacts from a civilization long gone. Watch the E3 trailer below and get swept under the sea.

My Opinion:

This was a game that wasn’t on my radar, but has definitely grabbed my attention after watching the trailer.  There aren’t many games which take place underwater and the oceanic environment shown is stunning. I would never go deep sea diving in real life, so exploring the mysteries of the ocean from the comfort of my couch is perfect for me.
