Today, Level-5 announced Lady Layton, a sequel to the core Professor Layton series for Japanese release on 3DS, iOS, and Android in Spring 2017. A western release was not mentioned.
The game will star Professor Layton’s daughter, and will be fairly faithful to the core games in the series, with a familiar mix of puzzles and storytelling.
Along with the announcement of a new game, Level-5 also revealed at its 2016 Vision event that Lady Layton’s new puzzle designer will be Kuniaki Iwanami.
Currently, there is no word on a western release, which is a huge bummer. However, I can still import it — but that will require me to find my 3DS. Which is a problem.
