Both The Evil Within and Rage sold well enough for sequels says Bethesda

Is Bethesda cooking up sequels for The Evil Within and Rage? Well according to Pete Hines both games sold well enough to warrant follow ups.

When speaking to Finder Bethesda’s Pete Hines was asked whether or not The Evil Within and Rage sold well enough to warrant follow ups, to which he replied: “I do think both The Evil Within and Rage did well enough that we could make sequels.”

However, beyond that Hines was careful to not confirm or deny sequels for either game.

“I can’t talk about the unannounced stuff and what we may or may not do. I get myself in trouble whenever I do that. If I come out and say, ‘I just don’t think that is going to happen,’ then people freak out. So I won’t confirm or deny stuff we may or may not do, as people jump to the wrong conclusions. Personally I loved Rage and had a tonne of fun playing it, but we have a lot of stuff in the pipeline right now so you will have to wait and see.”

The Evil Within launched in 2014, while Rage launched in 2011. Therefore, both games are in position for a sequel announcement, with The Evil Within being the more likely of the two to receive one.

My Opinion:

An Evil Within sequel doesn’t really tickle my toes, but a Rage sequel? Yes please — here is my 60 bucks Bethesda.
