Planet Coaster gets PC release date

Frontier Developments has announced its roller coaster park simulator, Planet Coaster, is set to release November 17th exclusively on PC.

Frontier Developments has also revealed the following pre-order options:

  • Pre-order the standard game on Steam before August 25th for $24.99
  • Pre-order (exclusive to pre-ordering) the Planet Coaster Thrillseeker Edition for $39.99. This edition comes with the game, the digital soundtrack, sketchbook, a special in-game hat and shirt, and full beta access before the game’s launch.

Pre-order the game after August 25th, or picking it up at launch will cost $29.99.

Planet Coaster’s will receive its third and final update August 23rd This update will unlock community sharing features and Steam Workshop support for Alpha players. As well as new coaster types, new rides and an all-new desert landscape.

My Opinion:

I can’t think of many better things to do in video games than building intense, borderline hazardous rollercoasters and watching as your customers puke up their overpriced pretzels and soft-drinks. Nope, this type of rare fun is only found in amusement park simulators — and that’s why I put copious amount of hours into them.
