Activision has spilled out a few new details about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.
Look, because I love you I’m going to jump straight into the new details, cut out all the jargon, and bullet point all the salient new information. Again, because I love you.
- It runs at 1080p/60fps.
- 10 maps will ship with the game at launch, with six more coming in December for free.
- A few cinematic enhancements, upgraded animation, new lighting and contrast systems, have all been added to the single player campaign. In addition, some new easter eggs will be added to the campaign.
The project started as a fan project, until Activision came to Raven (the studio in charge of the remastering) and said it wanted to do a full-fledge remaster job.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered comes packaged with the Legacy Edition of COD: Infinite Warfare, which releases on November 4th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
And that’s it. See how much easier news is on MONG?
My Opinion:
There was a time in my life when I lived and breathed COD for a few months each year. Those years — thankfully — are behind me. Now, I’m just interested in seeing how long Activision can sustain this cash cow.
